New Year, New You? | part 1
Welcome 2025! Chances are, you have been asked what your New Year’s resolutions are. Whether you decide to make some major life changes this year or would like to stay on a path you have already started, we have some tips to help.
If making new goals for the year, start with something small and easy to accomplish. We feel better when we reach attainable goals rather than failing at large ones.
Focus on a short time period. For example, maybe you decide to add extra vegetables to your meals 3 days a week. After a month of this, add 1 more day per week for the next month and so on. This can be more manageable than saying “I will eat more vegetables this year”.
Give yourself grace. It takes years to develop bad habits that we want to erase or change. It will take time and missteps to correct these. If one day doesn’t seem successful, try again tomorrow. Speak kindly to yourself and keep a positive mindset about WHY you want to change.
