Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a one-on-one process between a client and therapist. It tailors the process to his or her unique needs while exploring specific concerns related to the client’s personal experiences. Individual Therapy works to promote self-awareness and acceptance.
Family Therapy
Family Therapy is designed to address specific issues that affect the psychological health of the family, such as major life transitions or mental health conditions. It may be used as a primary mode of treatment or as a complementary approach. It aims to promote understanding and collaboration among family members in order to solve problems.
Couples Therapy
Couples Therapy is a form of therapy that supports people in intimate relationships. Therapy may be helpful for partners considering separation or seeking improved communication and understanding. While the relationship itself is the focus in couples counseling, each partner is expected to pay attention to self-improvement and self-awareness.
EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is a psychotherapy treatment that was originally designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. EMDR takes a maladaptive belief that someone has and removes its power. Utilizing bilateral stimulation, the thought becomes less distressing over a series of sessions and the person is able to replace the maladaptive thought with an adaptive thought. EMDR therapy shows that the mind can, in fact, heal from psychological trauma, much as the body recovers from physical trauma.
